Description
Under the Northern Ireland School Modernisation Programme Major Works Framework we completed the Design & Build of a new 1,420m² replacement eight classroom school along with school meals accommodation for Lisbellaw Primary School.
The project entailed phased demolition of the existing school followed by construction of the traditional construction building on strip and pad foundations, plus steel framed single span multi-purpose hall, plastered blockwork walls, timber trussed roof with concrete roof-tiles and aluminium double-glazed windows. The building was completely finished and fitted-out internally including PE climbing apparatus, notice boards and school meals equipment along with complete audio visual and sound installations to the multi-purpose hall.
Complete Mechanical & Electrical services installations were provided.
Siteworks included Courtyard paving, access roads and footpaths, boundary fencing, bitmac hard play areas, grass play areas and sand carpet grass pitches as well as drainage.
The scheme was registered and audited by the Considerate Constructors Scheme and was found to be performing ‘Beyond Compliance’.
