Tracey Brothers are pleased to report that works are progressing well on the Northwest Hospice project at Connaughton Road, Sligo. This important development will deliver a new, purpose-built hospice facility, enhancing specialist palliative care services in the region.
The project involves the construction of a new part single-storey/part two-storey extension, providing 12 new en-suite inpatient bedrooms along with associated support accommodation. The extension is being constructed within the curtilage of a protected structure and has been carefully designed to integrate with its sensitive surroundings.
The works also include the refurbishment and partial demolition of the existing hospice facility, including conversion of the original house and inpatient areas to new support accommodation. Additionally, the scheme comprises the construction of an undercroft car park, reconfiguration of the existing surface parking areas, and the implementation of a high-quality landscape design to the west and south of the site.
