Tracey Brothers are delighted to have been appointed as Main Contractor for the Restoration Works at The Grand Opera House, Belfast; one of Northern Ireland’s most iconic buildings.

The architectural importance of the Grand Opera House has been recognised and protected through its Grade A listed building status, having been the first building in Belfast to attain Grade A listed status, and the only remaining Victorian Theatre in Northern Ireland. Its historic and opulent auditorium is regarded as amongst the architecturally most important theatre interiors in the UK and Ireland.

We are looking forward to working closely with the Grand Opera House and their design team as they embark on their most ambitious restoration and development project in 40 years, aiming to return the beautiful 1895 auditorium to its original splendour, tell the Theatre’s fascinating history and improve customer facilities.

The award of this project demonstrates the high level of skill and expertise of our team which will be used to ensure careful and high-quality refurbishment of this sensitive landmark building for Belfast.
